FCA US LLC, a leader in the automotive industry, approached Designing Digitally, seeking a modern solution to transform their instructor-led training on lobbying, gifts, and political activity. Recognizing the need for a broader reach and consistency in delivering crucial compliance information, FCA sought an innovative approach to ensure all employees received the same vital message.

The Challenge

For years, FCA conducted instructor-led training on sensitive topics, requiring a shift from a classroom setting to a scalable, technology-driven solution. The challenge was to deliver consistent information to a large and diverse workforce while ensuring compliance with external rules, regulations, and internal corporate policies. FCA understood the potential consequences of non-compliance and aimed to streamline the training process.

The solution

Designing Digitally collaborated with FCA as a consultant to craft a detailed training curriculum using a 2D eLearning module. The module featured interactive scenarios, innovative learning styles, branching experiences, and an engaging assessment. The content allowed users to navigate scenarios they might encounter while interacting with government officials. During the Determine Phase, the team strategically selected technology, ensuring seamless integration with FCA’s SABA LMS environment and global delivery capabilities. 

The IMPACT

Within the first six months of launch, FCA successfully delivered the learning experience to over 14,000 employees. The training program garnered positive feedback, with more than 11,000 learners completing it and providing favorable comments. FCA employees reported increased awareness, actively identifying and reporting political activities, showcasing the project’s success. The custom e-learning project’s process, integration, and deployment exceeded FCA’s expectations, leading to its inclusion in mandatory training for all employees.
