The France Foundation specializes in curriculum-based continuing medical education and in educational collaborations that improve providers’ knowledge, communication and point-of-care performance.

The Challenge

The France Foundation (TFF) offers continued education for healthcare professionals that aims to improve overall medical care and patient well-being. They needed someone to help with a custom eLearning solution to teach learners how to recognize the need for antifibrotic therapy, assess treatment side effects, and provide treatment recommendations and long-term care areas. TFF required this course to provide an interactive experience accessible from desktops and tablets for mobile learning flexibility, which would become part of TFF’s Library of Continuing Medical Education and PILOT Education Transforming Pulmonary Care website. TFF had set objectives and goals to meet through their custom training program.

The solution

Designing Digitally in collaboration with The France Foundation developed interactive eLearning solutions called “Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Management In Practice.” This training program presents different learning adventure paths to choose from, each walking learners through actual patient cases involving IPF management.

The training design uses an overarching storyline that teaches learners how to treat IPF patients and improve their care correctly. Learners take on the doctor’s role to practice identifying and responding to patient symptoms and inquiries without any risk to the patient or care provider. Users must show retention and mastery of skills by selecting appropriate diagnoses and care plans while monitoring several patient visits simultaneously.
